Kevin Anderson, PMP
Mr. Anderson, well respected nationally as a thought leader and project director, recently retired from Deloitte Consulting after 24 years experience where he specialized in state and local government operations and systems. He was their account leader for the State of Washington, responsible for client relationships and client satisfaction. He is certified by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
He has deep and broad experience in working with multiple stakeholders in complex public sector organizations to reach consensus on difficult issues. He has the ability to move easily from discussion of strategic issues to rolling up his sleeves and providing hands-on implementation solutions. He can communicate effectively with executives as well as business analysts, functional and technical experts, and clerks.
Mr. Anderson specializes in public sector financial management systems selection and implementation, where he has served as director or project manager on numerous projects across the country. He has supported many organizations with the full life cycle of projects, from articulating the business case, working with stakeholders to agree on the project charter, selecting and contracting with systems integrators, organizing and managing internal staff, managing the implementation, resolving functional and technical issues, and achieving the desired objectives on time, within scope and within budget.
He also has strong experience with strategic information systems planning, electronic document management, content management, eGovernment portal development, Web development, package integration and eCommerce. He has conducted many performance and operations reviews. Scope of these projects included independent diagnostic-based review of the organization, its functions and programs. Engagements resulted in realistic, defensible recommendations to increase efficiency and effectiveness, as well as improve performance.
He is sensitive to the extreme political and budget pressures that are driving public sector entities to cut costs and improve performance, and he is a productive and cost effective resource to help organizations achieve their goals.
